I ask this because for the virtual life of me I cannot understand the attitude of some folk within Ponyplay, or more particularly Ponysport. With all the recent upsets and name-calling that has been going on, I really wonder if some folk are thinking before they act.
When I started in SL Ponyplay and ponysport a little over 15 months ago, I was a complete newbie to it. I’d spent nearly 5 years in SL and had been involved in most aspects of D/s roleplay, but never had I been involved with ponies and trainers.
Now, it seems to me that a large number of casual “trainers” in Ponyplay see the roleplay as an excuse to bad-mouth and abuse others, and by no means only ponies! There is a degree of an insular “Oh we only do it THIS way here – you have it wrong” attitude in some parts of ponydom, together with an apparent lack of concern about what might happen elsewhere that really seems designed to put (and set) them apart from the whole. At times it seems that trying to get a consistent attitude throughout Ponyplay is rather like trying to herd cats. Some folks seem to adopt a perverse attitude just in order to “be different”. I don’t understand it at all.
Maybe some of the divisive and contrary events of recent weeks have soured me to the attitude of some who have been in Ponyplay for years, but really, these people should know better!
One or two ponies notice it but feel it is not their place to comment…they just suffer in relative silence, or give up on SL Ponyplay.
To me that is a shame and really bothers me. I don’t think I have any answers except for folk to adopt a bit more common sense. There are a lot of good folk in SL Ponyplay, but there are too many bad and thoughtless ones as well.

Well, I have no idea about this as I'm new, but I am hoping things can be worked out for the good of the overall community.
