This event will be run in two stages, with two sets of ribbons. There will be a Qualifying-Stage, and a Championship. The Qualifying-Stage will run continuously from 1AM on 30Jan through 11:30PM on 3Feb. The Championship will run from noon until 2PM on the 4th
The Ranch will be closed or the Championship, except for two judges, and one competitor at a time. Twenty Finalists will have five-minutes to make as many runs as they can, to post their best time. The Finalists will be determined by the best Qualifying-Times. Since not everyone who runs in the Qualifying-Stage will actually be able to attend the Championship, the top-20 qualifiers who are ACTUALLY IN THE STAGING-AREA AT THE START OF THE FINALS will get to run in the Championship, starting with the fastest-qualifier.
Ribbons will be awarded for best qualifying times and for the Championship, so you can ribbon even if you can't attend the finals.
The judges will be Darius Renneville and Kimba (Giannia Rossini), neither of whom will be competing in the event. Their decisions will be final.
Quick-jump is prohibited. Pony-tack must be worn, including body-harness, hoofed-boots with horseshoes, bridle and bit, arms behind the back with visual restraints. Rules posted at the track must be followed, as well as the instructions of BBF Level-3 trainers and above. Ponies may roleplay but no OOC harassment will be allowed in the event area. Spectators will please sit on seating provided. If the scoreboard needs reset, official standings will be posted on Pony Info Group.

We hoped to have a live YouTube feed, but that seems unlikely, though we do intend to record video and post it, as well as have a webpage with current results available.

Take your time to say thank you to our trainers. Any rumors that FFF lake was covered to hide a treasure are completely false. It is just a 'thank you' board there providing space for the event as well. As for the event, there should be DJ and some prizes, apples for the ponies.

Carting Event
This is a different type of event than we've done in the past. After this was posted in the Pony Info Group I was told by a few that it may not be such a great idea. I was told it's been tried long ago and didn't go over so well. Well, this is similar but different. If it's not popular we won't do it again. If it is popular we may do it again. In the meantime, stay tuned for more events soon.I might even suggest trying out the "Mason's Gift" steeple the next time you visit...
*Please be aware: this event does have an entry fee. Our new Stable Manager wanted to try something new. So, without further adieu here is her event notice:
"Hi, I'm Countess Evie Boleyn, the new Stable Manager at Sunset Stables.
I challenge you and your fastest pony to a 5-lap cart race against my pony at Sunset Stables' Haytona 500 track this Thursday, Feb 23rd at a time between 10am and 4pm SLT, determined by the availability of competitors. Owners / Trainers / drivers (not ponies) should contact me Evie Bolyen (semalina) in a brief IM to let me know your preferred time (on the hour) and the earliest and latest times you can take part (again, on the hour please).
Qualifying to determine your position on the starting grid will take place on Wednesday. You can qualify at any time between 10am and 4pm SLT. You can come to practice as much as you like before 10am SLT on Wednesday.
The entry fee is L$100, paid to me by the driver / Owner / Trainer (not the pony) before qualifying. No pony may enter the competition without a driver.
If my pony wins, all fees will be donated to the Stables.
If my pony loses, the winning driver / Owner / Trainer receives all entry fees, plus I will instruct my pony to pay L$100 of her own money to every driver who crosses the finish line ahead of her. This will be her penalty for disappointing me. So you see, my pony has a strong incentive to win!
See you on Wednesday for qualifying, and good luck!
countess Evie Boleyn"
The actual race itself will take place on Thursday 24-FEB-2017 (time to be determined by the Stable Manager and qualifiers). Please use the teleport pad in front of the main barn to reach the Haytona 500 cart track.
